(OneyPlays) Smibnor

Ding Dong's incredibly hateful friend from Foreign Planet! He was first (and only) mentioned in the 48th episode of the Kingdom Hearts playthrough of OneyPlays. He is not based on a real person, but was a fictional character that Ding Dong made up for the final bit of the episode. I created this model of him for an animated I am working on (at the time I have posted this).

My depiction of Smibnor is heavily based on his "official" design from the video, albeit with extreme artistic liberties that were made on the fly as I was modelling him. I was aiming to make him as unpleasant on the outside as he is on the inside. Lots of design cues were taken from reptiles, insects, and crustaceans. He is also covered head to toe in bristly, grotesque hairs resembling those of an arachnid or a crab. His mouth is disgusting, and has a hemispherical jaw and quivering teeth. In place of nipples, he has unsightly appendages that I like to call "fingerteats"; he has six of them. His somewhat crab-like claw hands are lined with horrible fingers that allow him to use his gun, play video games, and point at Julian as he directs homophic slurs at him. He is 2.42 meters tall with an arm span of 3.35 meters wide, making him tower over the 2.14 m tall Ding Dong and the 1.73 m tall Chris and Julian.
He is about 64,656 polygons including his gun and cape, and he has a full facial rig. His 4k texture, normal and roughness map were baked from a combination of both a largely procedural shader and a multiresolution sculpt.
