Astro Boy V1

A 3D model of Osamu Tezuka's Mighty Atom! Or Astro Boy as we in western countries like to call him. The model is not yet entirely finished at the time of writing, but I feel like he is complete enough to present here. If any major updates to the model are made in the future, I will create a "V2" post.
The ultimate goal was to stay true to Osamu Tezuka's art style while translating it into 3D. This model is essentially a combination of multiple incarnations of Astro, with additional artistic liberties to make this model stand out on its own, The facial features are directly taken from the 2003 anime, while his body proportions are based on his look from the 1980 anime. The partially photorealistic rendering style and segmented style of his boots are based on the 2009 movie. Astro's fully rigged, with an expressive face and high poseability. His model is loaded with gimmicks that are callbacks to the source material, including the jet engines in his legs, the arm cannons from the 2003 anime, and even the infamous hidden machine guns from the manga to the 80's anime. He has a hatch in his belt that reveals a charger port on his lower back, which is a reference to the humorous yet unsettling placement of his charger port in the manga. Astro has a few additional articles of clothing, with alternate boxer-styled shorts, and a casual outfit complete with a shirt and pants. To pay homage to the mickey mouse-styled silhouette of his hair, I made his cowlicks posable so that they can always follow the outline of his head.
