A collection of older animations from back when I used MMD. This was the program where the bulk of my animation skill was developed. Many of my self-made models at the time were modeled and rigged in Blender before being converted into MMD's PMX model format. Since MMD's community thrives by putting up animatable models either made from scratch or ported from video games, there may be a few characters from popular culture in some of these films that you might recognize. The credits for the public assets used are listed in each video's descripton.
Please keep in mind that this is much older content, and does not reflect my current skill level at the time of writing.
The "pilot" for Minerva Gems, 2019. It was the very last animation I've made using MMD. After this, I made the complete switch to Blender because version 2.8 was released shortly afterward. This one actually uses an effect that adds more advanced shaders.
Walk Cycle tests for Minerva Gems, year 2017. This one is quite a bit older, and it shows with the lower modeling quality.
An older animation portfolio, 2017. This was made to demonstrate my animation skill at the time. Many of these models were public assets ported or custom-made by multiple creators, but the animations themselves are my own.
"Astro Boy vs Mega Man", 2016. This was an animated short created in response to Death Battle's own video. The characters are satirized, with Megaman being depicted as a bumbling, angry drunkard. This one uses public assets.
"Godzilla Returns", 2016. This one was made in anticipation of the western release of Hideaki Anno's "Shin Godzilla." The audio originates from an episode of Justin Roiland's "Two Girls One Cup: The Series". This one uses public assets.
"Fixing Papyrus", 2016. Back when I made this, I had a casual interest in Undertale. For this I was was experimenting with the capabilities of MMD's off-parenting feature. This one uses public assets.
A quadruped walk cycle test, 2016. This one uses public assets.
"Rebel Gems: Lab of Doom", 2017. This was an even earlier video associated with Minerva Gems, though back then it had a different title. Most of the assets were self-made, but a few public assets were also used due to time constraints.
"Half-Life 2: Lung Condoms", 2016. This is quite possibly the raunchiest thing I've ever animated in MMD. This uses public assets both custom made and ported from Half Life 2. I actually ported the Vortigaunt model myself.
